In this “How it started vs. How it’s going” montage, we’re showing love to our founding mothers and founding chapter of @jackandjillphilly. Jack and Jill of America, Inc. was founded in 1938 by African American mothers in Philadelphia during the Great Depression era. The idea to form a safe, social group for Black children was conceived by Mother Louise Truitt Jackson Dench and executed by Mother Marion Turner Stubbs Thomas.
